Calling on councils to get serious about CO2

Friends of the Earth is running a Get Serious About CO2 campaign which calls for every council to do its bit to tackle climate change. Local FoE groups would like to get in touch with other in Worcestershire to pressure the county council.

FoE wants councils to

• Commit to CO2 cuts in their local area of at least 40% by 2020 and produce an action plan detailing how it’s going to happen.
• Back its campaign for more money and less hassle for councils to do things like improve public transport, insulate more homes and install green energy.
