There have been a few suggestions on using the website for communication between people involved in the initiative, for example to arrange lift sharing to events or to suggest useful links, DVDs etc. So:
- Once signed up you can now add information to your profile on interests and skills.
- You can allow others to contact you directly by enabling the Contact form (only available to those signed up, and it doesn't expose your email address to spammers).
- New section on the discussion are (forum) for Resources and Suggestions. Lift shares comes under 'Organising things'.
As ever, comments are welcome.

It's no longer just about Polar Bears
Hi all
This is about a bit of high visability for Transition in the town. If you have one of our leaflets then you'll know what I'm talking about. On the 21st November we have invited the star of our recent leaflet (the polar bear) to come along and join us on Belle Vue Terrace. Mr P Bear will be entertaining us with his music while we will be getting the message across of what Transition is all about. We will be highlighting the two challenges that transition are tackling at a grass roots level, i.e. Climate Change and Peak Oil. This is an awareness raising event as the days are running out before the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference on the 7th to 18th December (COP15). A lot rides on this conference and we need remind our government to start taking the challenges of Climate Change seriously. We have to stand united and show the strength of our desire that this government must take positive action to show that they are commited to reducing Britain's CO2 emissions. Mr P Bear will be at Belle Vue Terrace from 10am to 2pm, he will then be joining the Woodland Trust and Greenpeace campaign by marching down Church Street to Malvern Youth Centre to plant an Apple Tree to highlight the opposition to the expansion of Heathrow Airport. All are encourage to join in with this event to show the strength of this grass roots movement. Please e-mail me if you require anymore information. Ginny (Awareness group)
