A vision for Transition Malvern Hills

The following vision statement has been agreed by the Steering Group, 9th March 2009. Comments are welcome. 

"The vision for Transition Malvern Hills is to bring about a change in the way the communities in this district, and future generations, live and work to enable them to enjoy a better quality of life while avoiding further damage to our beautiful environment and breaking our dependency on fossil fuels and other non-renewable resources.

"We will pursue this vision by engaging and supporting communities in an inclusive way, valuing and harnessing the diverse range of interests and expertise that each person is able to offer. We will encourage creativity, learning and re-skilling to develop community resilience for uncertain times, and to enable us all to live and work in greater sympathy with our environment. In this way we will play our part in the wider mission to ensure a sustainable and brighter future for all creatures on planet earth."
