Encouraging cycling as a means of transport - to work, to school, to the shops, etc, reducing dependence on the car. The social side too (not a club for sports cycling though), giving people more confidence on the road and some support.
A few of us met on 27th October (2009). We talked about putting together a display for the library in spring, maybe an information leaflet, a fun day to try out cycling, going shopping together by bike and more. Maybe a bike buddies scheme, with experienced cyclists matched to newcomers. Getting a cycle trailer to share?
