Tool bank
Nic Harrington says: I would like to see created a tool-bank, from which anyone in Transition could borrow, (or possibly buy, if duplicates occur), tools when needed. Any funds thus generated to go to Transition coffers.
This will entail collecting together unwanted/ unused tools, refurbishing them, and making their availability known to Transitioners. The aim, besides the creation of the tool-bank, would be to acquire/polish skills, and begin the formation of the group.

NETTLE SOUP FOR THE TRANSITION SOUL EVENING
Based on the work of Jack Canfield. Jack is an expert in self -esteem. He pioneered a series of books called "Chicken Soup for the Soul". They are true stories that are designed to help preserve self esteem and develop that "can do spirit". On the cover of one book it says: "101 Stories of Courage, Hope and Laughter".
The idea is that we start to write our own book along similar lines. We have one story that is already finished and will be read on the evening. We have one that is almost written, and there will be a story read from one of the Chicken Soup books.
We will then all disappear for twenty minutes and try to sketch out and outline for a piece of writing. The proviso is that it's true and relates to Transition. It must be a piece that gives us hope because I think we are going to need it with some of the challenges we are facing. We are going to need some pick me ups.
After twenty minutes we report back and share our ideas. They definitely don't need to be the finished article. We will then decide how to proceed. Everybody's needs will be different. Some will need collabaraters and some will find it easy to go ahead and write the piece.
Eventually we will look to publish. We will have to finalise the title but we will definitely be looking to provide a shot in the arm for the ailing transitioner.
